Many of you know that T30 (Tanzania & 30 Days Of Prayer) has started and is in full swing. I know for me prayer is a tough task. Some days I feel so overwhelmed with pouring my heart out to God. Then on other days I am dry as a bone with my prayer time. It has been a ongoing struggle to have a daily authentic prayer time.
In this struggle I came across a book by Phillip Yancey simply called “Prayer”. It has been an excellent resource to help me better understand the simplicity and mystery of prayer. Mr. Yancey does a great job asking some tough questions concerning prayer. He asks some questions like: “why pray & …does prayer change God?” One of my favorite sections is where he writes about unanswered prayer. The section is great for those are dealing with the mysteries of prayer.
I want to recommend this book to anyone who has questioned there prayer life (this would include everyone). This book will give some encouragement, to spend more time seeking God’s face.
Also, check out the video to give a little background into the book. God Bless!

A few better books on prayer than Yancey’s book are: Any book by E.M. Bounds on prayer, REVIVAL PRAYING and WHY REVIVAL TARRIES? both by Leonard Ravenhill, THE PATH OF PRAYER by Samuel Chadwick, and lastly Jim Cymbala’s FRESH WIND, FRESH FIRE.
