I found this picture (the link below)…it’s from the top of the Mount Everest. Man do we serve a mighty God! The picture reminds me of a passage from Psalm 43:3…

Alli Rogers

I came across a song by Alli Rogers called “Tanzania”. The song got my attention because I travel to Tanzania May of 2008. If you’re into a mellow acoustic style of music with great songwriting…you will love all four of her CD’s.

Andrew Peterson – Family Man

One of my favorite artist today is Andrew Peterson.  I love A.P. because he’s one of the best songwriters & poets today.  His songs are something that reaches deep into the soul of each person.  He also bring such authenticity to his writing which is hard to find in Christian music today.  If you are looking for a new artist/CD, don’t hesitate to try Andrew…you won’t be disappointed.

Be The Change – Zach Hunter

This Spring on Wednesday nights our student ministry will be putting an emphasis on Justice. Most of our discussion will come from scripture, but also a book written by a teenager named Zach Huner. The book is called “Be The Change” and I think it will spark some great conversation on what we can do as individuals and a community to make difference in the name of Jesus. Looking forward to this Spring!

Well it’s that time of the year again…

Many of you know of my love for the Oklahoma Sooners Football.  This week is a special week…it’s OU vs Texas week.  The week is also know as the Red River Rivalry.  Every year the game is played in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl and this year should be a great game since Oklahoma is ranked #1 and Texas is ranked #5 in the nation.  Thought I would throw in a few videos of Oklahoma Football.  The videos are played at the beginning at each home game…real exciting when 85,000-90,000 get pumped up.  Hope you have catch the game…it will be televised on ABC at 11am this Saturday.
